Atalaya is committed to sustainability and to conducting its activities in accordance with the highest Environmental, Social and Governance standards.
Backing this is our board-approved Sustainability Policy, which covers risk management, social and environmental considerations and corporate governance, amongst others.

To comply with our sustainability policy, we developed a sustainability strategy based on 6 pillars:

Sustainability reports and transparency
Atalaya published its sustainability reports since 2021 drafted with reference to GRI Standards and to respond to the contents of Spanish Law 11/2018 on non-financial information.
Likewise, since 2023 it responds to GRI Mining Sector Standard which is voluntary as of now, with the goal of improving transparency. The reports also respond to some indicators proposed by the “Metals & Mining” sector standard of the SASB initiative.
Additionally since 2023, Atalaya published its Climate Change Reports detailing the Company’s efforts towards Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures (TCFD).
In 2025, Atalaya published the Proyecto Riotinto Tailing Storage Facility public disclosure report according to principle 15 of GISTM.
