Alberto Lavandeira
Chief Executive Officer, Director
Mr. Lavandeira brings over forty years of experience operating and developing mining projects. He is a graduate of the University of Oviedo, Spain with a degree in Mining Engineering.
Formerly, he was President, CEO and COO of Rio Narcea Gold Mines which built three mines including Aguablanca and El Vallés-Boinas in Spain and Tasiast in Mauritania. He was also involved in the key stages of development of the Mutanda mine in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Earlier in his career, Mr. Lavandeira worked within group companies of Anglo American, Rio Tinto and Cominco (now Teck).
Mr. Lavandeira joined Atalaya in 2014. He is currently a director of Black Dragon Gold Corp.

César Sánchez
Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Sánchez has over 15 years of experience in the industry as former CFO of companies in the mining and financial sectors, including CFO of Iberian Minerals Corp. (copper assets in Spain and Peru) and being responsible for equity and debt financings. Worked for Ernst & Young as financial advisor and auditor.
Mr. Sánchez is a qualified accountant as per Official Register of Auditors (ROAC) in Spain, holds a Business Administration degree of the University of Sevilla, Spain with courses in Dublin City University and ESIC. Mr Sánchez holds a Senior Execute Program (PADE) at IESE Business School and a Leadership for Senior Executive program at Harvard Business School.
Fernando Araúz de Robles
GENERAL MANAGER PROYECTO RIOTINTO
A graduate of Mining Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Madrid and with executive training from IESE Business School, Araúz de Robles is a professional with more than two decades of experience in the industrial sector, in metallic mining, aggregates, and ornamental rocks. There, he has held senior management positions in multinational companies such as Levantina, Essentium, Gla-Orascom, and Holcim, participating in projects developed in more than twenty countries around the world.
In the public sector, he served as Secretary General of Industry, Energy, and Mines and Director General of Energy for the Andalusian Regional Government during the 11th term of office, where he has contributed to the strategic development of the Andalusian energy and industrial sector.
Fernando Díaz Riopa
GENERAL MANAGER PROYECTO TOURO
Mining Engineer with more than 20 years of international experience in mining, holding technical management positions for gold and base metal projects.
He has held technical management positions in Mines and General Services departments at Taisast Mine (Mauritania), Vueltas del Rio Mine (Honduras), Aguablanca Mine, El Valle-Boinás, and Carlés (Spain).
He has worked at Golder Associates Global Ibérica as a project manager, providing technical assistance and consulting services to leading companies in the mining sector in Spain.
He was Head of the Mine and Technical Services departments at Proyecto Riotinto for several years.
Enrique Delgado
CORPORATE INSTITUTIONAL ADVISER
Former CEO of Tharsis Mining has also performed as director of Metallurgy and Environment at Cobre Las Cruces Mine (First Quantum) both in Spain. With First Quantum also participated in the startup of Kansanshi Mine smelter in Zambia.
Started his career as metallurgist in Riotinto Mine and later with Freeport McMoRan, at Atlantic Copper smelter in Huelva, Spain.
He is a graduate of the University of Sevilla, Spain and Master of Senior Management of Leading Companies of the San Telmo International Institute of Sevilla, Spain.
